Nga mihi nui ki a koutou
What a wonderful turn out we had for our Grandparent afternoon last Thursday. Thank you to those who came along to this especially those who travelled some distance to be here. I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as we all did.

Virtue of the Week
Co-operation – Mahi-tahi
Co -operation is working together for the good of everyone. It is a willingness to respect others and to follow rules which keep everyone safe and happy. Cooperation is being helpful to one another, sharing the load. It is joining others in order to do something that cannot be done alone.
We practice mahi-tahi when we:
- work well with others
- freely offer our help and ideas
- follow the rules
- do our part to keep a safe, happy environment
- when we disagree, do it peacefully
- ask for help when we need it.
Reflection of the week
The focus of the readings this Sunday is faith. The first reading presents Abraham and
Sarah as models of faith, hope and trust in God’s promise. Abraham’s faith was not in where he was going or what he was doing, but in the One who was leading him. Sarah was the first of a series of women to believe that God’s promise of a child would be fulfilled. Because of their faith Abraham and Sarah have become the symbol of the People of God.
The Gospel passage encourages us to trust in God for our daily needs. Our faith is not in the things we need, but the One who provides. When we seek God first, all other things will follow.
Thank you to all our grandparents and friends who supported our liturgy last Thursday.
