Term 3 Week 2 2017
Dear Parents/Caregivers
Nga mihi nui ki a koutou
Thank you to those of you who came to our boil up last night. It was heartening to see so many whanau attending and it bodes well for a positive future for our school. It was great to get your feedback re the direction you want our school to take for your childrens’ learning over the next few years. This is an important part of our partnership programme.
For those who were unable to attend we will be sending home the questions that were discussed at the hui with this newsletter and we welcome your feedback on this.
For those who were there you have an opportunity to add anything you would like after having had the time to think about it more deeply.
Enjoy your week ,
Jacinta Cousins, Principal
Virtue of the Week
Co-operation – Mahi-tahi
Co-operation is working together for the good of everyone.
It is a willingness to respect others and to follow rules which keep everyone safe and happy.
Co-operation is being helpful to one another, sharing the load.
It is joining others in order to do something that cannot be done alone.
We practice mahi-tahi when we:
work well with others- freely offer our help and ideas
- follow the rules
- do our part to keep a safe, happy environment
- when we disagree, do it peacefully
- ask for help when we need it.
Reflection of the week
This Sunday we celebrate the Transfiguration of the Lord.
At the Transfiguration, Jesus was giving a preview of what he will be like after the Resurrection.
He was also showing us that we will be like him.
We will live with him in glory.
