Term 4 Week 6 2017
Nga mihi nui ki a koutou
Welcome to week 6.
The end of the school year is approaching very quickly!
Looks like this sunny weather is here to stay for a while which is great for our athletics training.
Enjoy your week,
Jacinta Cousins, Principal
Virtue of the Week
Love is a special feeling that fills your heart. You show love in a smile, a pleasant way of speaking, a thoughtful act or a hug. Love is treating people and things with special care and kindness because they mean so much to you. Love is treating other people just as you would like them to treat you -with care and respect.
We practice aroha when we:
- treat others as we would want them to treat us
- say kind and loving things
- share our thoughts and ourselves
- show affection
- think loving thoughts
- take good care of the things we love
Reflection of the week
Christ the King is celebrated on the final Sunday of the liturgical year, which is the last Sunday before Advent starts!
In the readings this Sunday the people of Israel saw in their leader the role and function of both shepherd and king. David, for example, is spoken of as both shepherd (which he was) and king (which he became).

Hats are essential too.
The PTFA will be selling sausages in bread, juicies and cans of drink once the sports are over for lunch at $2 each.
The calendars have arrived at school. These will be coming home with your child on Thursday unless you wish to pick them up from the school office prior to this.
Congratulations to Haami, Tamara, Jackson and Jodie from United who have all moved up a stage on the basic facts ladder.
These will be coming home in the last week of the term. You will be advised on this report of the class and teacher your child will have next year.
It’s time to have a good look around at home for any library, reading books or any other school property and return them please. We will be beginning our stock taking very soon.
