Virtue of the Week
Co-operation – Mahi-tahi
Co -operation is working together for the good of everyone. It is a willingness to respect others and to follow rules which keep everyone safe and happy. Cooperation is being helpful to one another, sharing the load. It is joining others in order to do something that cannot be done alone.
We practice mahi-tahi when we:
- work well with others
- freely offer our help and ideas
- follow the rules
- do our part to keep a safe, happy environment
- when we disagree, do it peacefully
- ask for help when we need it.
Reflection of the week
The readings this Sunday tell us that God does not simply send food (manna/bread) but that God really is present in the event.
It is not so much the bread we receive but believing in the one who gives bread. Bread sustains our life for the moment. Believing in the one who gives the bread sustains our life forever.
Thank you to Karen Manninen for her gymnastic coaching work with Believers and Superheroes this term.
