Nga mihi nui ki a koutou
Many thanks to those families who came along to our mass and picnic on Sunday. We appreciate your support and commitment to our school’s special catholic character.
This week Mr Anderson and our Year 6 students are off to camp. We know they will have a wonderful time and will pray for their safe return.
We are very grateful for the support of those parents who have given up their time to accompany them.
Enjoy your week,
Jacinta Cousins, Principal
Virtue of the Week
Diligence – Mamahitanga
Diligence is working hard and doing the best job you possibly can. When you are diligent, you take special care to do things step by step. You think and move carefully to make sure things will turn out right. Being diligent is being industrious, giving all you have to give to whatever you do.
We practice mamahitanga when we:
- pay attention to what you are doing
- do things carefully, step by step
- practice to the point of excellence
- give our absolute best to what you do
- work hard
- don’t give up.
Reflection of the week
Jesus came on earth to heal each one of us. His mission from his beloved Father was to love us and heal us; heal us and love us. Of course we are not worthy to have him enter into our hearts, but he will! All we have to do is invite him in. All we have to do is believe in his healing love for us. Jesus doesn’t heal us because we deserve it but because he loves us with a lavish and unending love.
On March 15 (pp March 18) we will be holding our swimming carnival in our school pool. Juniors from 12-1.15pm and seniors from 2-3pm. You are all warmly invited to attend.
Outstanding Money, Stationery lists, Permission slips:
Second request Permission Slips were sent home last week. There are still 5 families to respond. Another stationery list will be sent home for updating shortly. There are still several internet payments outstanding as promised.
Sports shoes/sneakers are NOT to be worn as school shoes. Black sandals or black school shoes please, as per uniform list.
