Inquiry Evening
Please mark in your calendar the evening of Wednesday J July 3rd.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to see all the wonderful work your child has been investigating.
This is also an opportunity for you to share your ideas as we develop a new VISION leading us into a 21st learning environment. Your ideas and voice are important to us all.
Kapa Haka
We are needing a guitar player for our wonderful Kapahaka group. We have practice on Fridays and in three weeks we have our big whanaungatanga with all other Catholic schools in our area. If you can help or know of someone we would love to hear from you.
KIND HEART SCHOOL Awards
Congratulations to the following students who are wonderful examples of KIND HEARTS and ACTIONS in our school:
Jarrod, Chloe, Brianna, Daniel and Edith
School Notices
Farewell for now and thank you to Miss Penman
Many of you will be aware that Miss Penman has been granted leave until the end of the year. We thank Miss Penman for her outstanding kindness, integrity and wonderful teaching in the Super Heroes room. As we have had difficulty finding a teacher, she has kindly offered to stay until next Thursday. We wish her and Micheal all the very best for this exciting chapter of their lives.
First Communion
Preparation is now fully underway for this wonderful sacramental journey. Reconciliation will take place on THURSDAY 6th JUNE @5.30pm. We look forward to sharing this with you all.
Board of Trustee Elections
As there were five candidates an election will take place. We wish the candidates all the very best. Mrs Rooney, the Returning Officer will be sending out the voting forms this week.
We are working on a date for ‘Our Lady of Lourdes has Talent’. As you can see our calendar is getting full so we will now have this in Term 3. Dates will be confirmed later in the term.

Reminder: Girls winter uniform wear navy knee hi socks not white ankle socks. These can be purchased at Warehouse or Kmart. Thank you

A message from Bishop Charles for Catholic Schools Day
E te whānau whakapono, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa.
Catholic schools day is about who we are as a community of faith.
Today we celebrate the gifts of life, baptism, faith and whānau. We thank God for everyone who has helped us along our own journey of faith: other students, teachers, parents and caregivers, priests and parishioners.
We grow too in our understanding that faith is nurtured with friends, in families, on marae, and in our parish communities. Catholic life is a team event; we all have a place and role on the playing field of faith.
Enjoy the day. Please keep our diocesan family in your prayers on this special day (28 May).
Kia tau ngā manaakitanga o te Ariki ki runga a koutou. May the Lord’s blessings be bestowed upon you all.
+Charles
