CATHOLIC SCHOOLS DAY MAY 28th

Our school celebrated Catholic School’s Day which began with a  Liturgy, followed with Tuakana Teina buddy activities. This involved Play Based Discovery learning activities in the Nest, Discovery time in the Library and designing a school korowai. A wonderful way for our seniors to show our Mercy values to our younger tamariki.

Thank you to the PTFA for the delicious sausage afterwards and to everyone for your support. A big thanks you to Coach Karen for her dedication to training our students for the day.

As part our liturgy we learnt more about Pope Francis and his message to us all with his letter Laudato Si on how we can care for each other and our environment.

Kind Heart Awards

Congratulations to the following students who are wonderful examples of KIND HEARTS and ACTIONS in our school:

Tavita, Jack B, Grace F

Catholic Corner

On Sunday, our children had their final session before making their First Communion. This involved the making of bread and the sharing of it with our parish community. Following this the children, led by Miss Brown and Mrs Pedley in re-enacting the Old and New Testament followed by the Last Supper with Jesus. It was a wonderful faith filled moment and one that everyone enjoyed.
First Reconciliation is on Thursday at 5.30pm for those who have been newly baptised.
First Holy Communion is this SUNDAY at the 9.30 am mass and we welcome our school family to support our children on this journey.

GOOD LUCK TO OUR BRIANNA and TEHUIA TAHI who are representing our school at the Catholic schools Scripture Competition tonight. We are very proud of you –

Anō te pai!
