Whanau House Names
Attached to this newsletter is a list of names that we are looking at for our six Whanau Groups. We would love to hear what you think. Your child will also have the opportunity to share their thoughts as well. We have linked these to the founders of our school and to those who have had some connection with it. Please return to school by the end of the week as we would like to announce them next week.
Home/School Challenge
Due to the delay in getting our new IT up and running this will now be starting in Week 3.
Maths Challenge Week 6 – TIMESTABLE A THON
In Week 6, we will be holding a Maths Challenge for all tamariki. This will be centered on our focus of raising Basic Facts knowledge in our school.
Knitting Club
Knitting club starts week 2 on Wednesday 31st July at lunchtime in Room 4 (after eating).
Please bring your knitting needles and wool or $2 to purchase some if you don’t have any and a bag to put them in. See you there! Miss Brown
Office Administrator:
OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL
Our Lady of Lourdes school is seeking a dynamic, flexible, efficient Office Administrator to join our busy Catholic primary school.
The position involves supporting the day to day running of the school. This includes working alongside the principal to ensure the smooth running of the school. Administrative tasks include processing payments, staff wages (knowledge in Novopay would be an advantage) word processing tasks and general administrative skills. As important is the ability to work collaboratively to ensure the children, staff and families feel there is a professional warm, friendly and passionate administrator as the first face, voice and heart of our mercy school. Hours of employment to be negotiated however will most likely be from 8.30am – 3pm
If you have the ability to work in a diverse role, have previous administrative experience, and would like to be part of our school, please send in a Covering Letter and a recent Curriculum Vitae with three referees. This job closes Friday August 2nd at 5pm.
