Term 4  Week 10  2019

Kia Ora Whanau,

kei tau rangimārie ki ā koutou – peace be with you all

Welcome to the last our last newsletter for 2019. This is an opportunity to say ABUNDANT ADVENT BLESSINGS to you all… and to give thanks for our year…

*Firstly we give thanks to God, who is our model in all that we think, say and do.

* For our Mercy Charism, our compass that guides us in all.

* We give thanks to our children/tamariki who are our hope and future. And to you, their families/whānau who have supported them during the year.

*  To our Board of Trustees who work tirelessly to govern our school to make it one of choice in our Catholic community.

*  To our parish who we have a special connection with – our school is part of the parish and we treasure this close relationship.

* To our PTFA and members of our community who work behind the scenes to support our school and community  – THANK YOU

*  We give thanks for those families who have been part of our school community for a number of years and for those who are now moving on… we wish you God’s blessings and we hope that 2020 is one of peace and joy.

*  To our incredibly dedicated and hard working staff – what a team!  Thank you for your patience, your work ethic and your willingness to go on this new journey.

We pray that 2020 is a year of growth, of LIVING, LEARNING and LOVING the MERCY way in all that we think, do and say.

A Note from Fr Joe
On December 19th we celebrate the Lourdes School Graduation Mass and welcome all family, friends, staff and students to it.
For this Mass we will use the Easter Seating format.  I look forward to celebrating this end of the school year with your whānau members. Please bring them all along!
We will leave the church in the Easter Seating format for the following Sunday (4th Sunday of Advent) and for the Christmas Eve Family+Children’s Mass at 6pm on December 24th and for the 9.30am Mass on Christmas Day.
Please bring your whānau members with you to share in the joy of Christmas.
You will also notice new TVs that have been donated by the school Board of Trustees and the school PTFA so that we don’t need to use booklets.
I am very grateful to the Board and the PTFA for this gift to the Parish.  It is a wonderful investment in our worship for the children and their whānau.
We are one family/whānau of whakapono/faith and together as young and old we make up the Body of Christ.
To you all, may the blessings of Christmas bring you peace, joy and love for each other.

Blessings Fr Joe
