Term 2  Week 6  2020
First week of Term 2 for all

Welcome

It is so wonderful to be at school, seeing all of our amazing children/tamariki eager to be with their teachers and friends and to begin with to relearn school routines. We are truly so proud of all that has been achieved during these unknown times – and we are incredibly grateful for you all.

The focus for this week is on:

  • Well Being and Haura (physical, mental, social and spiritual needs)
  • Living, Learning and Loving with our Mercy values
  • Rebuilding those close connections with our children
  • Settling into a new norm as school is not quite back to what it was

Next week the senior management are reviewing the long term plans and assessment schedules and we will share this with you when this is completed.

Religious Education

Ascension Thursday
Jesus came back from the grave and spent 40 days with his beloved disciples. He taught his dear students many things and told them that he would visit again.
He said, “Soon, you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit and receive the power of God. You will tell my story to the people in Jerusalem and to people all over the Earth.”
Jesus blessed his disciples. Then as they look at him Jesus became surrounded by bright light. He was taken into the heavens, and he disappeared.
Jesus says Good-bye!

Adapted from Acts 1:1-10

School Notices

Parent Survey
We are always looking at ways in which we can be improving as a school. We have sent you a link to a survey for you to share what has gone well during the time your child/ren have been at home and what areas we could  review.  Your voice is important to us. We are also getting the voice from the children as well. We want to get it right for our school community.

A Safety Message
Thank you all for your support as we implement these new hygiene guidelines. Our children are adapting really well. We are currently splitting morning teas and lunches so that less children and staff are in the one area. Our staggered ends of the day are to also help with this.
